Mississauga Qualifier

OGC puts 6 Women on Team Ontario!!!!

Congratulations to Sabrina, Mikeala, Jordyn, Krishna, Sylvia and Elise for being named to Team Ontario for the 2011 Canada Winter Games!! 

What a fantastic achievement!!!  It is a testament to the depth of talent and quality of coaching currently at the Oakville Gymnastics Club in the Women's Program!!  The girls will travel to Halifax the second week of February and will be hoping to bring home the gold medal for Ontario!  Good luck ladies!!!  We will be routing for you!  I have some great pictures from the training camp in Mexico but am having a bit of trouble getting them up on the blog.  I will keep trying!

This weekend our Provincial Girls will travel to Gymnastics Mississauga to compete in their first qualifier of the year!!  Good luck to all our athletes!!!  Photos and results will be posted next week.

Happy New Year

Happy New Year to all!!  2011 promises to be a very exciting year for the women's program at OGC! 

Sabrina Gill, Mikeala Gerber, Jordyn Pedersen, Krishna Yemeny, Sylvia Colussi-Pelaez and Elise Bolger head down to Cancun this week for a Canada Winter Games training camp and competition.  Sabrina, Mikeala, Jordyn and Krishna have already been named to Team Ontario while Sylvia and Elise will both be vying for 1 of the 3 remaining spots on the team!!  Canada Winter Games take place once every 4 years and are being held in Halifax this February. 

We wish all the girls the best of luck and hope they enjoy this fantastic experience!!
