Gymnix Classic

Oakville had about 25 families travel to Montreal the weekend before March break for Gymnix!!  Over the years many young athletes have made the trip to compete and cheer on the "big girls" they watch train every day!!!  The "big girls" did not dissappoint and I am happy to report the "little girls" had some pretty great results themselves!!!  Here's a couple of cute pictures!!

Pacific Rim Event Finals

Congratulations to Christine Lee and Jordyn Pedersen on their fabulous results from yesterday's event finals at the Pacific Rim Championships!!

Christine, competing against current world champion Jordyn Weiber, continued her medal haul with a silver on beam second only to Kyla Ross of the USl!  Floor finals saw Christine up against Lauren Mitchell, Jordyn Weiber and team mate Victoria Moors.  I haven't been able to locate the video but I am guessing it was a wonderful routine as she claimed the silver on floor just behind Weiber!!  She was also just .100 out of a bronze medal on bars and had to settle for 4th! 

In only her second meet back from injury Jordyn qualified for 2 event finals!!!  She was 5th on vault and 7th on bars!! 

It's been a great weekend for our Oakville athletes and the Canadian Women's team!!!
