National Stream Cup

Good luck to OGC's Kathryn Doran, a member of Team Ontario, in the Novice division of the National Stream Cup at Futures Gymnastics in Mississauga. Kathryn trained at Futures with the team this morning and they are all ready to go!!! Individual All Around and Team finals are Saturday afternoon. Top 8 on each event during Saturday's competition will compete in Event Finals Sunday. Photo's, videos and results will be posted as they are available!

Well that is it!! The London Test Event is over for the artistic gymnasts! A very successful event for the Canadian Womens Team.

Silver in the team competition, 4th and 5th place finish in the uneven bars final, 4th place finish in the beam final and a silver medal for the youngest member of the team on floor!!! Wow!! Great results!!

Here is Peng Peng's bars from event finals. The difference between 5th and 3rd was just 0.134!!!! Peng and team mate Kristina Vaculik both had the highest execution marks in the bar final!!!

What a great day for the Canadian Women's team!! The team, who lead for three divisions, were only bested by an Italian team that had an even more amazing meet than the Canadians!!

The goal was to qualify a full team for London 2012! Mission accomplished!!!

As an added bonus Peng Peng Lee and Kristina Vaculik made Uneven Bar finals, Maddie Gardner Beam finals and Victoria Moors Floor finals (while posting the highest score in qualification).

Congratulations to the entire team including our Mikaela Gerber who was injured but was ready to contribute if called upon!!

Good luck to the girls in their event finals!!

After two subdivisions and with three teams still to go we can officially say that the Canadian Women have qualified a full team to the 2012 Olympic games!!! Now that is something to brag about!!!!

With an improvement of over 6 points from their Worlds score the Canadian Women are sitting in first position. 221.813 is a massive score and surely is good enough to get them to the Olympics.

With all the talk of the London Test Event going on I thought I would take a minute out to let you know how Jessica is getting on!! She is training on all four events, some a little less "aggressively" than others but she looks happy and that is a wonderful thing!! Her five month anniversary is tomorrow and after her visit to the surgeon she expects to be back training 100%.

Jessica is not only a great athlete but a tremendous asset to the gym and any team. I have just watched as Jess helped nurse one of our younger elite athletes after a bit of a nasty bar fall. She had her laughing within minutes!!! That's our Jess!!!

Congratulations to Peng Peng Lee and Mikaela Gerber for being selected to Team Canada for next months test event!! Canada will be looking to finish in the top 4 and qualify a full team for the 2012 Olympics. Also making the team are Kristina Vaculik, Brittany Rogers, Thalia Chiarelli, Maddie Gardiner and Victoria Moors. This is a very strong team and some are predicting a first place finish for Canada!! Go Canada!!!!!!!

Peng Peng Lee, Mikaela Gerber and Sue Manjak are currently in Gatineau, Quebec for a Team Canada Selection Camp for the London Test Event. It is 5 days long and gymnasts will be showing full routines daily with an expectation of "hitting" and being consistent. It is very intense I am told. The goal of the camp is to select the right team to travel to London next month to compete in the test event where the ultimate goal is to qualify a full team to Olympics. Team selection will be announced on the 30th. The team and coaches will then fly directly into London on January 1st. They will train in Essex for 5 days before heading to London for the test event!!

The gymnastics test event will take place from the 10th-18th January 2012 and is the second and final chance for gymnasts across all three disciplines (Artistic, Trampoline and Rhythmic) to qualify for the London 2012 Olympic Games. A number of gymnasts have already qualified at the discipline-specific world championships.

The event will take place in the North Greenwich Arena. Originally built for the Millennium celebrations, North Greenwich Arena, also known as The O2, has been transformed into a world renowned entertainment destination with a 20,000 seater multi-use arena, 11 screen cinema, bars, restaurants and more.
Peng and Mikaela had a good training day yesterday, so we will keep our fingers crossed for more safe and successful days!!!

Kathryn National Novice 3rd All Around!!

As a new National Novice competing at the recent Burlington Qualifier, Kathryn Doran placed 3rd all around to earn a spot on Team Ontario for the National Stream Cup. Kathryn topped the field on uneven bars and place second on floor! The National Stream Cup is a new meet to be held at Futures Gymnastics January 27th - 29th with teams from all across Canada coming together to represent their province. Congrats Kat!

Mariana Junior 2nd All Around!!

Also competing at the Burlington meet in the Junior category, Mariana Colussi Palaez got her season off to a flying start. With a rock solid 1st place performance on beam Mariana helped herself to the silver medal in the all around competition. Congrats Mariana!

Peng Peng Lee and Mikaela Gerber travelled with coach Sue Manjak this past weekend to Acapulco Mexico for the first ever Mexican Open. From what I hear it was a fantastic experience for all involved. They have promised me some photos!!!

Peng Peng finished 2nd all around after hitting 4 for 4. A great confidence boost going into the London Test Event training camp in a few weeks. Mikaela finished 7th all around.

An interesting twist at this meet was the pairs competition. One WAG athlete and one MAG athlete were paired together. The pair with the highest combined score wins. Peng Peng Lee partnered with US Gymnast Daniel Leyva for a total combined score of 144.850!!

I don't know too much about this meet other than it is in sunny Acapulco, Mexico!! If you read spanish you will find more info on the Official Website (link below). I also think it may be streamed on this website as well.

This is a chance for Peng and Mikaela to get one more meet under their belts before heading to the National Camp where the selection for the Test Event in January will be made. A pretty impressive list of participants as well!!

Well this meet has been nearly impossible to get information on!!

So far all I have been able to find out is that Jordyn Pedersen and her team placed 7th during the Friday open competition. Sabrina Gill was part of Team Canada 1 which competed in the Elite International division on the Saturday placing 3rd behind 1st place Russia and 2nd place France. Viktoria Komova was part of the Russian team!!

The girls arrive home today!!

Tour Selection took place this past weekend in Borden Ontario. Oakville had 5 girls competing (Madeline Harding was injured only days before and was unable to compete) in the very large level 7 category!! There was just 2 points separating 1st from 20th!! Tour Selection

Competition season gets under way for the Oakville Women's provincial program with Tour Selection this coming weekend. Base Borden will once again host Tour Selection November 19th and 20th. The top 8 gymnasts from each level (7, 8, 9 and Open) will travel to Mexico as members of Team Onario at the Cancun Classic in January!!

Hoping to part of the level 7 team are Sofia Tencer, Madeline Harding, Mikayla Martyn, Sarah Nixon,Tiffany Membrere and Briana Rutherford. Coach Alexa has been working the girls hard and we wish them all the very best of luck this weekend!! Check back for photos, videos and results as they become available.

The Pan Am Games have come to an end for Oakville's senior memebers of the Canadian Women's team.

Over all a very succesful outing I would say!!

Team Silver just 2.3 behind the US team (which had two former World Champions)
4th place finish for Peng in the All Around and 5th place in the Uneven Bars Event Finals

Silver Medal for Mikaela in the Floor Event Finals (have not been able to locate video of Mikaelas floor routine from event finals yet but will post as soon as I do.

With a bronze medal in the all around and a silver in the balance beam final(Kristina Vaculik) Team Canada comes away with a ton of confidence which should be great for them heading into the final test event in January. Congrats Mikaela and Peng!!!!

Wow! What a great confidence boost this will be for Peng Peng Lee, Mikaela Gerber and all the Canadian Women heading into the test event in London. Canada was holding on to first after the first subdivision and as expected the US over came them in the second subdivision to take the Gold. However, the US did not have a good day and only managed 2.5 better than the Canadians. Four Double Twisting Yurchenkos from the US women proved to be the deciding factor!! Canada's gotta get some more DTY's!!!

Peng Peng, even with a fall on beam, qualified just .100 out of first place in the all around and has qualified for the Individual AA finals as well as uneven bar finals later this week. Peng Peng is absolutely in the running for medals in both!!!

Mikaela rocked the floor and has the distinction of holding the highest qualifying score heading into event finals on floor!! A gold medal on this event would be amazing for her and Canada.

Kristina Vaculik will compete in the AA as well as Beam and Floor event finals. She is the first reserve for the vault final. Talia Chiarelli qualified for beam event finals.

Congratulations to the Team!! We are all very proud of you!!

What do you think of when you hear the name Peng Peng Lee? Many may say they remember the tiny wonderkid who dazzled Canada and the world with her crazy difficulty and spectacular smile!! Today, however, Peng Peng is often referred to as Christine and Christine has grown up!! She now posses not only skills and a spectacular smile but a maturity that helped her come back from, not only a 2 year layoff from a serious back injury, but a dislocated knee cap just 5 months ago to finishing 19th in the World! Last Friday Christine also helped the Canadian team to an 11th place finish in the team qualification which puts Canada one step closer to qualifying a full team to the 2012 Olympics. Incredible!!! We congratulate Christine on her 1st World Championships!!! Well Done!!!!!

Silvia Colussi Paleaz - SPAIN. 12 months ago no one thought a girl from Oakville Ontario would make the Spanish National Team. Someone forgot to tell Silvia!! Far away from home since early August Silvia has worked her butt off and earned herself a place on the the Spanish National team that finished just behind Canada in 12th. No doubt Spain will be looking to improve on that in January in London!!

I have not been able to find any video or photos of Silvia from Worlds other than this picture with Tandoori Poulet!!

If anyone knows of any links to photos and/or videos please let me know!!

Mikaela Gerber was the alternate for Canada up until the evening before the 2011 World Championships Team Qualification Competititon. During the weeks of training camps leading up to worlds and then podium training, Mikaela hit routine after routine. With lower start values than many of the other girls, Mikaela knew she had an up hill battle on her hands to get on the team. In the end the powers that be could not ignore the consistency!! In her first World Championships, and with very little International experience, Mikaela performed like a seasoned veteran hitting 3 for 3 !!! We are all very proud of Mikaela!!!! Congratulations on your first World Championships!!

Team Canada 11th, Peng qualifies for AA finals

Canada has qualified for the second Olympic test event in January!! Even with several falls Canada managed to finish 11th!!! Peng Peng Lee will be in the All Around final next Thursday!

Canada will now look to secure a top 4 finish in January in order to send a full team to the Olympics!!

Sounds like there were a few falls today but Canada managed to improve their score by nearly 3 full points over last year. Mikaela Gerber hit 3 for 3 AGAIN! Miss Reliable!! Peng Peng Lee hit 3 for 4 (a fall on beam) is currently in a pretty good position to make the All Around final! I hope so that would great for her and Canada!! I haven't been able to find any photo's or video yet but will post as soon as I do!!!

Now we just have sit and wait for the results from tomorrows qualification round which includes the US, Russia, China, Italy, Spain and Great Britain!! At this point it seems like Canada has done enough to qualify for the second Olympic qualifying event taking place in London in January!

Lets all get behind Team Canada and wish them Luck!!!

Mikaela Gerber and Peng Peng Lee left today for a week long training camp in Vancouver. They will travel to Japan for World Championships directly form there! Heading to her first Worlds as a coach is Sue Manjak. Both the girls and Sue are looking forward to doing everything they can to help Team Canada in their quest to qualify a team for the 2012 Olympics. Silvia shines as Spain take the gold again!!

Silvia Colussi Palaez scored a 14 to place 3rd in the uneven bars! She was also 4th on vault, 6th on beam and 5th All Around!!! Spain beat Italy by nearly 5 full points!! Now we will wait and see if Silvia has done enough to grab a spot on the Spanish National team!!!

Jessica Savona was at the meet cheering on all the girls and taking photos which I will be posting here tomorrow evening! Jessica has just undergone knee surgery and so sadly she will not be available for Worlds this year. Jessica is a very determined young lady and I am certain she will be back in full training as soon as humanly possible!!!

10 lovely ladies graced Oakville Gymnastics with their presence the last few days! There were ups and downs for many through two days of "competititon" but I am hopeful that each and every one of them will have at least a few positives to take away!! They will find out shortly whether they will get the opportunity to represent Canada at World Championships in Japan or the Pan American Games in Mexico or both!! Mikaela Gerber certainly deserves an award for consistnecy as she went 8 for 8 and the only girl to hit her routines each time out!! BRAVO Mikeala!!!! I am not alone in this sentiment!! More than one observer agrees!! Can Oakville put 2 girls on Team Canada for Worlds???

Day 1 is over!! Mikaela had a great meet hitting all four of her routines! Her smile was a mile wide as she finished 2nd all around!! It's been awhile since we've posted but it doesn't mean there isn't anything going on!!! It is exciting times here at Oakville!!!

Back in early July Sabrina Gill and Bianca Jordaan travelled to Puerto Rico with Sue Manjak to represent Canada at the Puerto Rico Cup. Bianca was selected to represent Canada for her first time after strong results at Canadian Championships. Sabrina was part of the silver medal winning Junior Canadian team competition after hitting four for four. Sabrina narrowly missed out on the podium in the individual all around placing 4th. Bianca unfortuneately injured her knee and was unable to compete.

The Worlds and Pan Am games trials are coming up soon and looking for spots on Team Canada are Peng Peng Lee and Mikaela Gerber. Jessica Savona will also be hoping to secure a spot on the team but will not likely compete at trials due to an injury picked up at the Japan Cup in July.

Jordyn Pedersen will travel to Japan in September for her first overseas international competition representing Canada as a Junior!!!

All the girls are back in the gym and training hard and learning new skills for the upcoming season! From what I have seen so far the OGC team looks like they are going to have another fantastic year!!!

Sabrina Gill, 2011 Canadian Junior Athlete of the Year

Sabrina Gill was awarded the Canadian Junior Athlete of the year this past Saturday at the Canadian National Championships!!! This award is for the most medals won in domestic and international competitions by a Junior National Team member!

Attending the Pacific Rim Championships in Australia representing Team Canada was an amazing experience for her competing against some of the best gymnasts in the world for the first time!!

Next up was the Canada Winter Games in Halifax where Sabrina helped Team Ontario win the Gold and also picked up Gold medals in the All Around, Uneven bars and Beam!!

Gymnix International in March saw Sabrina representing Team Canada again in the Junior International Cup and with her excellent performance Canada emerged champions and Gold medal winners. Sabrina added a Silver in the All Around, and Gold Medals in Vault and Uneven bars!

In her final International competititon of the season, Wild Rose International, Sabrina was called upon to represent Canada as a Senior!!!! Competing against teams from China, Australia, Belgium, Great Britain and Wales Team Canada was able to beat China to the Gold Medal in an exciting team competition. In the All around Sabrina earned a bronze medal above members of the Chinese and Australian teams that have previously competed at World Championships!! Incredible!!

Sabrina is an very dedicated and hard working gymnast and she has been rewarded this past year with some excellent results!! We are confident that Sabrina will continue to work hard every day and are excited about the prospects for her future! During the recent Canadian National Championships broadcast, commentator Kyle Shewfelt said that she is the future of Canadian Gymnastics!! Nice endorsment from someone who knows what it takes to make it on the world stage!!

Oakville Golden at Event Finals!!

Savona 1st on Beam and Floor

Oakville women took 3 of 4 gold medals in Senior womens event finals on Saturday!! Bianca Jordaan was crowned vault champion while Jessica Savona took both the Floor and Beam titles!! Jordaan also added a bronze medal on beam!!! Narrowly missing the podium were Sabrina Gill (4th on Floor) and Silvia Colussi Paleaz (4th on bars)!!

In the Juniour category Jordyn Pedersen won a bronze medal on bars and Elilse Bolger finished a very respectible 5th place! Jordyn was also 5th on beam and floor!!

Novice Ontario Champs - Sydney Davison Member of Gold Medal winning team!!

Sydney (3rd place floor) and Taylor Davison (4th AA) HP Novice

WOW Taylor "I don't like to compete" Davison must be seriously rethinking this tagline after her performace today!! Hitting 4 for 4 and finishing 4th AA in a super competitive Novice High Performance division is a HUGE accomplisment. Sister Sydney, member of the Ontario Gold Medal winning team on Wednesday, brings home a bronze medal back for her "Shawn Johnson like" floor routine in todays day 2 competition!! Getting a mention above the "phenom" this week was very hard but both Taylor and Sydney made the gymnastics community take notice!! Well done girls!

In the Open 13-15 yr old category, Mariana Colussi Paleaz was not able to repeat her excellent 2nd place AA result from day 1 but she did further cement her spot in hearts of gym fans everywhere with her wonderful form and style!!

WOW!!! Great results today for the Oakville Gymnastics Club. First of all qualifying 5 Senior and 2 Junior athletes to the all around competition is an accomplishment in itself!!! Jessica Savona captured the silver medal in the senior all around while Jordyn Pedersen claimed Junior Bronze!!

Elise Bolger finished an impressive 10th in the very deep junior division!!

Sabrina Gill came back with a vengance, after a rough qualification round, and if not for a fall on beam was in with a real chance for a medal in her first year as a senior!!! She ended up 7th but should be very proud of her much improved performance today!! Bianca Jordaan, who missed a good part of the season due to a knee injury finished in 9th, while Krishna Yemeny was 11th and Silvia Colussi Peleaz 12th (Silvia has been peaking everyones interest with the possibilty of her competing for Spain). All Juniors and Seniors will compete again on Saturday in event finals!! Go Oakville!!!

Jessica Dowling and Mariana Colussi Peleaz helped Ontario to a gold medal finish in the Open team competition. Jessica qualified first in the 16+ division (and has created quite a stir amongst gym bloggers everywhere due to her recent announcement about her intent to compete for the Dutch) and Marianna is sitting in 2nd in the 13-15 age group - super impressive since she is one of the youngest in this catergory!! We look forward to see what they both will do in the open finals!!!

After day 1 Jordyn Pedersen and Elise Bolger have both qualified for the Junior All Around competition on Thursday!! On her way to a 5th place finish Jordyn qualified for all 4 event finals!! Elise has qualified for the uneven bars event final and is sitting in 10th spot!! This Junior category is loaded with talented gymnasts but you can be sure both these ladies will be doing their best to move up in the rankings!!

In the Senior category Jessica Savona, Bianca Jordan, Sylvia Colussi Paleaz, Krishna Yemeny and Sabrina Gill all qualified for the All Around competition!! Some of our Seniors may have had a few struggles on day 1 but they all get a second chance to show the judges and spectators what they're made of on Thursday!!

Event finals are on Saturday!! Savona will compete in the vault, beam and floor finals; Bianca beam and floor; Sylvia bars; Krishna vault and Sabrina floor.

2011 Ontario Provincial Championships

This past weekend our remaining provincial athletes traveled to Windsor to represent Oakville at the Ontario Provincial Championships. With nearly all our athletes qualifying to Provincials, some for their first time, it was an exciting place to be!! Just to qualify in the first place is very difficult. For example in level 5 age 9 there were 73 athletes vying for just 32 spots!! That’s tough!!! The coaches are very proud of all the girls for their efforts this year.

Special recognition for our medal winners!!! Rylee Davison bronze on beam; Riley Dane bronze on vault; and Madelaine Harding bronze on floor! A provincial medal is indeed a great accomplishment! Well done girls!!!

Elite Ontario!!

Oakville Gymnastics Club athletes competed in Niagara this past weekend at this years Elite Ontario. Tiffany Membere (level 7 age 14+) and Kathryn Doran (level 9 age 10/11) represented Oakville in the provincial stream; Sydney and Taylor Davison - National Novice, Mariana Colussi Peleaz, Jessica Dowling, Melissa Dowling and Nikki Patterson - National Open; Elise Bolger - Junior HP; and Silvia Colussi Paleaz, Bianca Jordan and Krishna Yemeny - Senior HP. Several of our HP athletes did not have to compete as they had represented Canada the week before at Wild Rose or at a world cup in Qatar.

When the weekend was over Oakville had captured 7 Gold, 9 Silver, and 8 Bronze medals!!

Jessica "I beat China" Savona - Floor Champ

The Wild Rose International Invitational competition in Edmonton took place this past weekend!! Our National girls did incredibly well!!

In the Senior Cup team competition Team Canada 1 (Mikeala Gerber, Sabrina Gill and Jessica Savona) edged China for Gold while Team Oakville (Silvia Colussi Palaez, Bianca Jordaan and Krishna Yemeny) took Bronze!! In the All around Jessica Savona placed 2nd and in her first International Senior meet Sabrina Gill was 3rd!!! The senior girls were back in competition on the Sunday for Event finals. Jessica Savona was the big winner on the day claiming gold on floor and bronze on beam!!!

Not to be out done Jordyn Pedersen helped Junior Team Canada win gold!!! Elise Bolger finished just outside the medals in the all around placing 5th while qualifying for all 4 event finals!!! Well done!!!

In the Senior Challenge Jessica Dowling emerged as the all around champion with gold on bars, silver on floor and bronze on beam!!!

In the Junior Challenge Mariana Colussi Paleaz earned a silver on floor!!!

There were medals galore from our athletes in level Argo P2 all the way up to Senior National!! Full results are at http://www.internationalgymnix.ca/results/.

Some Provincial Highlights....Micayah Bronze on Beam; Sofia Silver on Vault, Bars and All around; Jordan Gold on beam; Monica Gold on Vault!! Tatiana earned a 6th on bars and Elena 8th on floor!! Well done to all the provincial girls.

Sydney and Taylor owned the Novice National division finising 1st and 2nd all around!! Sydney also took home gold on vault and silver on floor. Taylor added a gold on floor and a bronze on beam!! Kathryn competed for her first time at the National level and earned an 8th on floor!!

Mariana had a great day winning the National Open category!!! Silver on bars and beam as well as a bronze on floor were enough to put her top of the group!! Melissa earned a silver medal on floor and 7th all around!!

Sabrina and Jordyn (Canada 1) and Elise (Canada 2) represented Canada in the Junior Cup!! Canada 1 came out on top as the gold medalists with Canada 2 just missing out on the podium in 4th! Sabrina was the silver medalist in the All Around! Sabrina advanced to event finals on 3 appartus and when it was over she had the gold on vault and bars as well as a bronze on floor!!

The Gymnix Challenege had 53 athletes from Canada, Australia, Belgium, Great Britain, Japan, Peru and Porto Rico!! Peng Peng and Jessica finished 4th and 5th in the all around competition as well as each of them qualifying for event finals! Krishna had great bars in the all around and qualified for event finals!!! Also competitng and just missing out on event finals were Silvia, Bianca and Jessica D. There could only be 2 canadians in each event final and with so many girls competing and representing Canada it was extremely difficult to qualify!!!

We are so proud of all the girls for the way they have all represented their club and/or their country!!

Blogger is very under the weather but Gymnix was a huge success for Oakville Atheltes!! I am gathering lots of photos and comments and will be posting to the blog asap!!!!

Not too long ago you would not have seen the name Oakville Gymnastics Club beside any athletes competing at Gymnix International. What a difference a few short years can make. Oakville now has the largest National Women's Program in the country and has 6 National team members representing Canada at Gymnix this coming weekend!!

Sabrina Gill, Elise Bolger and Jordyn Pedersen will represent Canada in the Junior Cup on Saturday and will be competing against teams from Russia, Great Britain, Belgium and Mexico!

Sylvia Colussi Paleaz, Jessica Dowling, Bianca Jordaan, Krishna Yemeny, Mikeala Gerber, Peng Peng Lee and Jessica Savona will compete on Friday in the Gymnix Challenge competing against athletes from as far away as Australia and Japan!!

Event finals for both groups are Sunday afternoon!!!

One of the greatest things about Gymnix is that gymnasts of all levels can participate. It is a wonderful opportunity for everyone to feel a part of a large international meet! Also representing Oakville this weekend are:

The last of three provincial qualifiers are over! Phew!! Some great results!!! 26 medals in total - 6 gold, 8 silver and 12 bronze! Not too shabby!! We now wait on the list of qualified athletes for Provincials! Stay tuned for more details!!

Gymbrooke has a listing of where athletes stand put together by volunteer parents but they are not official!! Just a snapshot http://gymbrooke.com/results2011/ !! You will need to wait for Gymnastics Ontario to post the list of qualified athletes to be 100% sure!!! (At last check level 5, 6 and 7 were updated. Level 8 and 9 still to be completed)

We are looking forward to continued success at Ontario Championships and Elite Ontario in April!!!

Good luck to all our provincial athletes competing in their final qualifying competition this weekend in St. Catherines!! They are all hoping to move on to Ontario Championships in April!!! Go Oakville!!!

Chicago Tour

With all the excitement from the Canada Games we nearly forgot to mention Nikki and Melissa's excellent adventure to Chicago!

The girls qualified back in November at Tour Selection to represent Ontario in Chicago at The 2011 IGI Chicago Style Meet which, according to their website is the largest invitational in the world. It has also been selected as an official invitational meet for the Nastia Liukin Supergirl Cup Series.

Held at the historic Navy Pier, athletes travelled from all over the US, Canada and the world to compete in levels 2 through to Elite. Nikki and Melissa were in the tough level 10 category. To make their task even tougher the division they competed in contained athletes of Elite calibre, some of which have competed internationally for the US!! With such a large amount of girls competing in each level they need to be broken down into divisions. There were a total of 343 athletes in level 10 alone.

While the results may not have been what they had hoped for, it is always a great deal of fun to travel and compete as part of a team! Meeting new friends and reconnecting with old ones is probably the best part of all!! I'm sure both Nikki and Melissa will have some wonderful memories from their trip.
